The Hipping Kabinett is the latest addition to the St. Antony wine collection. This Riesling comes from a small part of the Große Lage Hipping – the Käferberg. Due to its northern exposure, the Käferberg is slightly cooler than the rest of Hipping. The result is wines that delight with their particularly exotic fruit.
For the first time, St. Antony has now also created a Kabinett from this vineyard in 2022. The grapes for the wine are a pre-harvest of the Grosses Gewächs. They were carefully selected and fermented spontaneously in stainless steel tanks. In the style of the vineyard, the Cabinet captivates with its expressive melon and peach flavours. The wine is super juicy. There is also a slightly salty note which, in combination with the balanced sweetness-acidity interplay, gives the “Kabi” a real tang. You immediately look forward to the next sip. A wine that goes perfectly with the golden autumn days!

The Hipping site is situated in a very exposed location on the Roter Hang. Exactly where the south-east slope meets the south slope. Our “Großes Gewächs” comes from a very special part of the Hippings, the so-called “Käferberg”;. The “Käferberg” is located exactly opposite the Brudersberg and thus faces north. This in turn means that it is significantly cooler there than in the rest of the Hippings. In our entire portfolio, this vineyard is certainly our most valuable asset.
