It’s cool outside. Colorful leaves adorn the streets and sidewalks. A cool breeze blows through the east of Berlin and we sit in a cozy fireplace atmosphere on the Spree. A fire is blazing and invites us to toast with a glass of sparkling wine: living room feeling in the industrial area. We feel comfortable and secure and our order is received with a smile.
As an appetizer, we are served, among other things, a fruity-refreshing ceviche of salmon and shrimp. Garnished with crunchy passion fruit, coriander and cucumber, this delicacy with its sweet and sour maritime composition reminds us of even sunnier days. In addition, a delicious tartare, where each fork is enhanced with a dollop of jalapeno aioli, and the creamiest burrata I have ever eaten in my life. Our gaze wanders over the dark Spree, which can only be guessed at with the eyes, and we end this first course with a full-bodied sip of Pinot Gris.
On the recommendation of the kitchen, the main course now comes: the Rummelsburger. A pink fried patty with onion jam as a topping. In addition, there are classic French fries with a fabulous Parmesan mayonnaise. Simple, plain and damn delicious!
