The BELLGAVE, a private luxury residence in Los Angeles, was jointly designed by the internationally renowned architecture firm SAOTA, the project developer Clive Robertson and the designer Gary Osborne. Situated on the legendary Sunset Strip, the pillared building rises high above the city and offers an unobstructed view of the city panorama from Los Angeles to Santa Monica. By creating a series of intersecting and overlapping surfaces that extend as terraced overhangs over the edge of the cliff face, the designer transformed the elegant residence into a unique viewing platform.

A new urban symbol
The meticulously planned living space of the BELLGAVE covers over 1,300 square metres. The design context, with its earthy colour palettes and rich textures, finds its roots in mid-century architectural landmarks, but also drew inspiration from other modern style icons found in Los Angeles. By skilfully adding innovative elements, the designer has succeeded in creating a new architectural highlight in the urban environment.

The skilfully crafted limestone pays homage to the nearby Paul Getty Museum. The solid walls of the BELLGAVE are clad in Italian travertine, while the floors are made entirely of a combination of French white oak and matching travertine. Inspired by Pierre Koenig’s trend-setting Stahl House, glass walls allow the open-plan rooms to flow into one another and provide a breathtaking view of the magnificent outdoor area with its generously dimensioned infinity pool.

The aesthetics of reduction
The decision in favour of the modern yet timeless elegance of the SieMatic PURE style world proved to be the perfect choice, as it blends in perfectly with the impressive aesthetics of the surrounding architecture. As the true luxury of the SieMatic composition lies in its reduction to the essentials, its design remains free of anything superfluous and incorporates the open space as an element, allowing it to breathe.

Generously designed shapes, carefully selected colours and the absence of anything decorative are the essence of the SieMatic PURE style world. The fine proportions, which are expressed above all in the floating worktop, the all-round recessed grip and the clear contours in 6.5 mm, harmonise with the delicate aluminium frames of the cabinet doors and emphasise the flowing character of the entire room concept by combining cool industrial materials with a warm, lively atmosphere.

The art of colour
A harmonious and select palette of colour nuances underlines the personal style of your individual SieMatic kitchen. The SieMatic IndividualColorSystem also gives you a free choice of up to 2,050 velvety matt or high-gloss special colours.

From natural stone, precious metal and precious wood to the finest ceramics: our material combinations ensure a fascinating design harmony between the exterior and interior. The high quality and precise processing of the selected materials also guarantee lasting value.

A vision has become reality
The BELLGAVE is a lifestyle, a design icon, a forward-looking vision with timeless aesthetics. The residence is the crowning glory of years of planning and construction work, both inside and out. The location on an impressive 2,000 m² rocky outcrop with spectacular outdoor terraces is unrivalled. Nestled high up in the Hollywood Hills, its north-south orientation follows the grid of the urban area at its feet.

With its extraordinary appearance, BELLGAVE ranks with mid-century architectural landmarks such as Pierre Koenig’s Stahl House, arguably the most recognisable home in Los Angeles and one of the most iconic residences ever built. From BELLGAVE’s private terraces, the Stahl House can be glimpsed on a nearby headland to the west, as part of a unique 270-degree view that stretches from vibrant downtown Los Angeles to the distant ocean.
