Behind a large, black door is “Sois Blessed” (Prannerstraße), let’s say, the most important among Munich’s concept stores. With her shop, owner Ruth Gombert has a clear focus on young talent and designers who are still unknown to us, as well as fairly produced clothing, accessories and furniture.
For “Sois Blessed” Ruth Gombert only works with selected brands; those whose products tell a story. And one of the most important things, Gombert also sells her own collection, which was designed under the name “Sois Blessed” by students from a South African school. The Hope School is located in the Eastern Cape province and is a contact point for HIV-infected children. Gombert and her team visited the school and painted together with the students – the results they printed on Italian silk. The profit from the “Sois-Blessed” collection will go permanently and 100 percent to the South African school – “to give something back,” says Gombert simply. By the way: At Ruth Gombert, in her concept store “Sois Blessed” you are welcome in the wonderful flower shop and an extremely charming day bar.
And if you’re not in Munich at the moment, you can take a look around the website or browse through the online shop .
Editor’s tip: DUGGAN Küchen und Einrichtungs GmbH is just round the corner from Sois Blessed. DUGGAN is an official dealer of Poggenpohl Küchen.
