Mirwart, a small village in the middle of the forests of the Ardennes, is one of the ‘most beautiful villages of Wallonia’ and is surrounded by 1,350 hectares of forest. Located on a rock in the valley of the river “L’homme”, the castle was a bastion of the Ducal Tower of Lorraine.
Since its beginnings, the domain of the castle has been the subject of disagreements – and even warlike conflicts. Various noble families bought and sold the estate over the centuries. When the castle is finally sold to the province of Luxembourg after the Second World War, things quickly go downhill. The building was looted and became increasingly dilapidated.

Castle Suites, Garden Balcony Suites and the “Tour de Dinant”, a former fortified tower. The surroundings of the Château de Mirwart inspired the interior design of the rooms.
