The design retreat Eden Reserve, above the Italian municipality of Gardone Riviera, combines luxury with the charm and characteristics of the surroundings like no other: The only 18 accommodations were designed by star architects Matteo Thun, David Chipperfield, Richard Meier and Marc Mark from ATP Sphere, spread over 78,000 square meters of parkland. The extensive complex, occupied by cypresses and olive trees, is the responsibility of the renowned Swiss garden architect Enzo Enea. The noble rooms and suites of the 5-star boutique hotel, whose transparent glass mosaic façade picks up on the natural colours of the lake, the sky and the mountains and playfully reflects them depending on the angle and time of day, the stylish landmark villas and apartments or the exclusive private villas – warm, subtle colours and selected design elements such as furniture by Minotti, exude a genuine Italian attitude to life as well as the close connection with Mediterranean nature in a special way. Wise. While the villas of the Briton David Chipperfield are made of regional natural stone and interpret the architecture of the Limonaias, the villas of the Austrian architectural designer Marc Mark appear with modern exposed concrete, large glass fronts and floors made of regional travertine natural stone in a cool loft look.

A wellness oasis promises deep relaxation with individual spa treatments with products from Susanne Kaufmann. Heated indoor and outdoor pools, airy sun terraces with an unobstructed view of the lake and soothing massages create the perfect holistic feel-good experience. If you prefer to be pampered in your private accommodation, you can sit back and relax with private in-room spa treatments. The La Celeste restaurant serves Italian cuisine and fine local wine. The top chefs conjure up culinary delights from predominantly regional and seasonal products, which are characterized by freshness and authenticity. But the motto “The eye eats with you” is also very important in the hotel kitchen: Each dish bears an unmistakable creative signature. For a sundowner on the panoramic terrace or at the hotel bar & lounge, unusual cocktails, exotic rum as well as the finest cognac and whisky await you at a later hour. Outside the resort, the immediate surroundings also have a lot to offer: A boat trip with a Frauscher boat to Isola del Garda – the largest island of Lake Garda – is a must. Active holidaymakers can let off steam on over 1,000 kilometres of marked trails with various levels of difficulty. This means that the region around the lake is not only popular with passionate hikers and cyclists, but is also considered a real sport climbing paradise, not least because of the breathtaking panoramic views. Guests of the Eden Reserve can also look forward to a game of golf in the midst of magnificent nature: Not far from the resort there are four golf clubs, which are known far beyond the country’s borders for their sophisticated playing surfaces and modern facilities. And art lovers won’t miss out either: the historic Vittoriale degli Italiani, where the Italian writer Gabriele D’Annunzio once resided, countless magnificent palaces and villas as well as the Heller Garden are within walking distance.
