What reads so simple is usually the complicated answer to the question: “Why did you take this photo?”. While this is probably more true for personal photography than for commissioned work, a keen sense of curiosity – even when it comes to commercial topics – can’t do anything other than make you a better photographer. Everything for which you feel personally responsible becomes more interesting and convincing. This is probably the driving force behind Max’s photographs: he wants to create something original and unique. In a world where there seem to be no original ideas, it is his curiosity that helps to find some. It drives the photographer out of his comfort zone. Because when a photographer has a story to tell, he doesn’t let the adversities on the ground get in his way. Max knows how to create a story and design it with pictures.
